BAKERSFIELD- Today, Phillip Peters, has announced a number of high-profile endorsements in the race for Kern County Supervisor. Peters is running to succeed Supervisor Mick Gleason.

Having recently announced his campaign, Peters has received the endorsements of GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, State Senator Shannon Grove, Assemblyman Vince Fong, and current Kern County Supervisor Mick Gleason. These endorsements are just a few among the growing list of community members and elected officials who have endorsed Peters.

“Phillip is the strong conservative leader that Kern County needs,” said McCarthy. Senator Shannon Grove added that “I’ve known Philip all his life. He is a dedicated public servant and I’m confident he is the right leader for Kern county’s future.”

“Phillip has proven himself as a thoughtful leader committed to solving problems. Now more than ever we need new young leaders willing to step up to address our community’s challenges,” said Assemblyman Vince Fong.

Supervisor Gleason said, “Phillip knows this district and the issues facing the Board. He is the right choice to lead Kern County.”

Peters, is a lifelong resident of Kern County. As a former Kern High School District Trustee, he served from 2014 to 2018. He is also a district director for Supervisor Gleason. While on the Kern High School Board, Peters focused on improving access to career technical education, providing more choice in children’s education, empower local educators, and ensure accountability and transparency at all levels of education.

Phillip lives in Bakersfield with his wife and daughter. He is an avid sportsman and woodworker.
